Self-Discipline:Acceptance

Self-Discipline:Acceptance

The first thing that you have to become more self-discipline is to accept your perceive reality accurately and consciously acknowledge what you perceive. This may sound simple, but in practice it’s extremely difficult. If you find it difficult in any part of your life, there is a strong chance that the real problem is accepting reality as it is.

Why is acceptance so important? Do you remember the example from the previous post about weight training? If you are going to succeed at weight training, the first step is to figure out what weights you can already lift. How strong are you right now? Unless you figure out how strong you are right now you will not be able to adopt a sensible training program. In the same way if are not accepting your current situation then it will be going be hard to find a program that will improve your self-disciple and productivity. If you’re not consciously aware of your stand right now in terms of your level of self-discipline, it’s highly unlikely that you’re going to make any progress in this area.
